Holiday Ball Committee
Job Description
Ball committee members are responsible for assisting with the production of the annual Respite Care Holiday Ball. Each committee member will receive a complimentary ticket for you and a guest for the time and energy donated to the Holiday Ball Committee. Responsibilities include:
- Attend 80-90% of regular Ball committee meetings May – December. (see schedule for dates)
- Help brainstorm new donors for silent auction and raffle
- Make phone calls or contact in person. This may mean walking into a new business to discuss the possibility of a donation
- Help with any Ball mailings – donor, corporate table, save the date, invitations
- Raffle
- Help with raffle item ideas
- Pick up and deliver item to Respite
- Sell tickets at various pre-arranged locations
- Sell 10-20 of your own raffle tickets
- Complete follow through of the silent auction item process
- Solidify donor commitment of at least 5 previous donors
- Fill out donor form in its entirely
- Submit form to chrissy no later than Nov. 12 in order to be included in auction
- Make arrangements for pick-up
- Pick up item and deliver to Respite no later than Nov. 16
- Be available for any additional follow through with other donors
- Attend taste test at the Embassy
- Weekend of the Ball
- Decorate the night before the Ball at the Embassy Suites Loveland
- Duties the night of the Ball may include: greeter, raffle sales, raffle pull and announcement, and other various duties needed
- Pick up and take down of the Ball the morning after
- Be available to debrief the event 3-4 weeks after the Ball
